Admissions criteria for candidates with "new" Polish maturity exam (issued after 2005)

Passing the Matura exam is the basic formal requirement.

Admission to studies: based on the submission of required documents submitted by the candidate (upon prior registration in Online Application System).

In the case when the number of candidates exceeds the limit of places, admission is decided by means of the ranking list, based on secondary school-leaving grades, in line with the below rules.

For candidates with NEW MATURA EXAM:

Admission is based on secondary school diploma grades. Admission to studies is based on the results of the written part of Matura exam in the below subjects: geography, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry, civic knowledge.

Two subjects (A and B) with the highest percentage result of the Matura exam are selected among them (*).

In the case when the secondary school-leaving certificate contains a result in only one subject, the candidate receives 0 points in the second subject.

Method of calculating points:

W = 0,5 (A* + B*)

where:

W – candidate’s final result;

A – result in subject A;

A – result in subject B;

The more favourable result for the candidate is taken into consideration. The sum of points obtained in the subjects listed in Table 1 decides about the place in the ranking. The individuals with the highest number of points will be admitted to studies until the limit of places has been filled.

A study candidate is obliged to submit a relevant medical certificate confirming the lack of medical contraindications to take up studies in this degree programme.

Admissions criteria for candidates with "old" Polish maturity exam (issued before 2005)

For candidates with OLD MATURA EXAM:

Secondary school-leaving certificate grades will be converted to points according to Table 2. Further admission process will be carried out as for the candidates with the new Matura exam. The Matura exam subjects will be regarded as taken at the advanced level.
