Degree programme description: Full-time and part-time studies last four semesters. They include basic courses of management techniques, marketing and promotion, knowledge of modern art and trends in modern cinematography. Collaterally, the curriculum includes numerous professional courses such as: TV and film production and mass events financing, legal and ethical aspects of audio-visual production, work of the producer and production manager; use of promotion and advertisement techniques in the audio-visual sector. Moreover, during the studies courses connected with the production of TV and film practical works and organisation of artistic events with the participation of the University. The curriculum foresees the contact of students with both theoreticians in given fields and practitioners employed in cinematography units and television
The studies are finished with the submission and discussion of master diploma thesis on a chosen theoretical or practical issue related to the curriculum
Career prospects: Graduates of the 2nd cycle studies are equipped with knowledge in economical, technical, legal and artistic aspects of cinema, television and other mass media. They acquire abilities and obtain social competences prepares them to assume a position of independent production manager and audio-visual producer. They can also assume managerial positions in distribution companies, culture institutions and art managements and also in entities on the advertisement market. The graduate is prepared to undertake 3rd cycle studies
Graduates of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree diploma studies in film and television production, as well as degree programmes related to economy, law, sociology, cultural studies, journalism and social communication may apply for admission to studies.
Admission to studies (until the limit of places has been filled) will be based on:
interview verifying the knowledge of different kinds of social (political, legal, economic) structures and institutions, as well as knowledge of contemporary cultural life and institutions, and verifying the capacities for performing the function of film and television production manager.
In the case of candidates with the same final diploma grade, the following admission criteria are further applied respectively: average study grade, and then diploma thesis grade.
The admitted candidates whose curriculum of completed studies significantly deviates from the curriculum in film and television production, may be obliged to make up for the curriculum differences.
